An August Meeting for Artists

The PoconoArts Council held a Town Hall Meeting for Artists and Art Related Groups on Wednesday August 11th at their Cultural Center located in Stroudsburg, PA The hot summer day gave way to some very cool avenues of discussion of all topics relating to the arts. One of the major topics explored was how art related groups and individual artists can get news of their endeavors out to the public by posting them on numerous community calendars on the internet simultaneously.

This topic led to a very animated discussion among the many who attended the meeting. It was eventfully decided the concept will be looked into and the meeting moved onto sharing what The PoconoArts Council is planning to do for the remainder of 2010 while an opportunity was given to those who represented Art Related Groups to share their future endeavors. The Pocono Arts Council serves the creative community by providing individual member opportunities to share their endeavors with the public and to discover avenues from which they can enhance their skill and understanding of their chosen discipline. The Arts Town Hall Meetings are held seasonally and are open to all arts-related organizations in the Pocono Region. The next Arts Town Hall Meeting is yet to be announced.
