There was Dancin’, and Skelly, and groovin’ to the Music

The Main Street Jukebox in Stroudsburg, PA held an Artist Reception featuring The Art of Skellatrona along with some works created by Tim Nebet on Saturday August 7th. A large crowd of art lovers gathered to partake of the work and each other’s company. The design and images of the two dimensional pieces were quite impressive but it was the three dimensional sculpted pieces that really dominated the show and the attendee’s interests. These particular pieces were aptly titled demonstrating a creative sense of humor bringing a slightly macabre smile to the face of anyone who got the joke.

Music for the evening was provided by Meshach Richards and Liz Mason of their newly formed Bang Snap Heart Attack. They presented a great deal of original material seasoned with a touch of cover tunes which they made their own through their out standing performance. Meshach and Liz had developed their own distinctive styles and approaches to music during their solo career prior to coming together to form Bang Snap Heart Attack.

This was evident when Meshach took the mike to demonstrate his kick ass talent of grabbing the audience’s attention with his voice and making them grasp for air as they asked for more of the same while Liz’s gentle voice whispered into the soul and heart of all who hear her. Together, their voices and styles combined as a communiqué for all levels of existence in which good, fun music can be enjoyed. You’ll find more photographs taken during the reception in The Forwardian Arts Society Main St. Jukebox 2010 Gallery at www.myspace.com/forwardian_arts.
