The Light and Dark of It

Photography by Paparazzi Paul.

A sizable crowd gathered at the lower level of The Gamers Edge Comics and Games Store at 580 Main St. in Stroudsburg, PA on Saturday October 1st where The Origins Gallery resides. An Artists' Reception for their Light and Dark Exhibition was being held and the multiple shades and hues that populated the gallery beckoned to all art lovers from various locations. Many who came knew of the venues reputation to present splendid work from mainstream and unconventional artists from the area while a number of newcomers to the gallery were flabbergasted by the discoveries they encountered. The evening included music performed by Guitarist TC Carpenter and the venue's famous Art Raffle.

The quality of the work on display was truly astounding with a number of pieces bringing a profound sense of transcendence over the extraordinary exhibits previously presented at the gallery. A great deal of excitement was generated by the work which proved to be difficult to retain. However, it was briefly interrupted as the Gallery's director, Jody Singer, welcomed the gathering and shared with them news of the venue along with that of the arts in the area before introducing the evening's musical guest.

Guitarist TC Carpenter shared a number of original compositions along with those created by other artists. Regardless of where a song originated, the quality of his performance resonated among the gathering as their souls rang alongside every note. The melodies he rendered added a thoughtful element to the conversations that echoed throughout the room and enhanced the exploration of the art presented. The art raffle followed the performance. Eyes were affixed to the tickets purchased earlier as the winning numbers were being called out. Joyous exclamations were sounded as the coveted items were acquired by the lucky participants. It was soon after this did the company begin to share their farewells with one another as they set their sights upon the next exhibit to greet them.
