The
Gallery at The Pocono
Cinema and Cultural Center (PC3) (formally known as The Pocono
Community Theater) in East Stroudsburg, PA held an Artist's Reception
on Saturday June
4th
for their exhibition featuring the
abstract
geometric fabric collages
of Will
Rothfuss. Under the new directorship of Jan Selving, the walls of the
theater's lobby and hallway leading to the 2nd
and 3rd
screening rooms were adorned with the beautifully intricate designs
created by the artist. A modest gathering of art lovers attended the
reception and were explicitly mesmerized by the patterns found within
each frame they peered into.
Will
Rothfuss currently resides and has his studio in Stroudsburg, PA. He
has participated in numerous exhibitions throughout the United States
in various galleries. These include the inaugural gallery show at
Gallery 724 in Allentown, PA, The Antoine Dutot Museum and Gallery in
Delaware Water Gap, PA, The Blair Academy in Blairstown, NJ, The Soho
in the Burg Gallery in Stroudsburg, PA, and The Greenville Museum of
Art in Greenville, SC. Mr. Rothfuss has also received a number of
awards honoring his talents. These include the
first place prize in painting and the second place prize in mixed
media from the Greenville Artists’ Guild, the first place prize in
painting from the Springs Mills Regional Art Show, and the first pace
prize in watercolor and second place prize in a small works show from
The Pocono Arts Council. You'll be able to learn more about Will
Rothfuss and his work by exploring his Facebook Page at

The
exhibition proved to be a welcomed one to those who ventured into the
theater to enjoy the work. Not only did the fabric collages created
by Mr. Rothfuss enhance each viewer abilities to explore the patterns
embodied in their own lives, but the reemergence of art within the
theater reacquainted art lovers throughout the area to another
opportunity to experience the beauty and life affirming qualities of
the arts. Taking some time to explore the work of Mr. Rothfuss is a
wonderful way to experience the theater before and after viewing a
film. You’ll be able to find more photographs taken during the Will
