A Centennial by the Gazebo

Photography by Paparazzi Paul.

On a beautiful Summer's Day, The Stroud Township, PA presented the Trinity Centennial Band at The Albertson Park Gazebo on Sunday June 26th as the first of their Concert in the Park Series. A huge audience filled the grounds as a number of gentle yet rousing compositions were lovingly played throughout the early evening hours. The variety of the pieces ranged from Opera to the Village People with healthy doses of Americana, Big Band, and patriotic tunes placed in the mix.

The afore mentioned Operatic piece was a selection from a work composed by Giacomo Antonio Domenico Michele Secondo Maria Puccini (aka Puccini). Soloist Michael Yasenchok performed the work with a voice so powerful it resonated throughout the park adding depth to the composition for all who were fortunate enough to listen. The Village People's song titled, “YMCA” was joyfully sung by the gathering with many presenting the arm movements the composition is associated with. The concert was an enjoyable one with a wide variety of songs to satisfy anyone’s musical taste.
