The AC Accordion to SheilaMark

Amidst the sounds of diners enjoying the simple cuisine embodying the nostalgic flavor of satisfying dishes served over 50 years ago, the echoes of Arcade games and their enthusiasts whose adventures knew no bounds except those imposed upon them by a quarter, and the classic rock and roll favorites from the 50's and 60's as offered by DJ Augie, the SheilaMark Duo prepared for a performance on Friday March 18th at the newly opened AC's Diner, Cafe, and Arcade located in Stroudsburg, PA. The décor of the establishment allows its visitors to relive or discover a bygone era filled with icons such as Buddy Holly, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, and Elvis Presley honoring the cultural impact they made to that time and beyond. AC's atmosphere is further enhanced by the congeniality of its management and staff who regard every individual who comes to eat, play, and/or partake of the evening's entertainment as a welcomed member of the family.

The concert began as the SheilaMark Duo (consisting of Mark Hamza on accordion and Sheila Stratton on vocals) took the stage and began to share their variety of songs spanning across the decades. The styles of the compositions ranged from country to jazz with the essence of each song elevated by the blending of the duo's talents. The incredibly powerful voice of Ms. Stratton penetrates the emotional properties of each song while Mr. Hamza's musicianship allows subtleties not found in the song's lyrics to become embracingly known. The full effect of their performance was evident in the eyes and countenance of the audience members as they reflected upon the many aspects of the music. You'll find more photographs taken during the performance in The AC Accordion to SheilaMark Gallery at www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154682675338761.1073741953.91146283760&type=3.

The SheilaMark Duo has performed in various venues throughout and beyond the Pike and Monroe County, PA area. These venues include The Annual Celebration of the Arts Festival, The Church on the Mountain Gazebo Concert Series, and The Deer Head Inn which are all located in Delaware Water Gap, PA. The quality of their performances never fail to bring a smile and a gentle memory to their audience. Their time at AC's Diner, Cafe, and Arcade was no exception as it proved to be thoroughly enjoyable.
