The
enchantments found in the good measures of Jazz was shared by
L'ARCHET Concert Group on Saturday March 19th
as they presented The Davey Lantz Trio as part of their Cohen
Hall Series.
The concert was held
at The Cohen Recital Hall within the Fine and Performing Arts Center
on the campus of The East Stroudsburg University of PA. The hall's
precisioned acoustics enabled every note the musicians played to echo
among the consciousness of each member of the modestly sized audience
that attended.
The
Davey Lantz Trio consists of Davey Lantz on Piano, Joshua Crumbly on
Upright Bass, and Jimmy Macbride on Drums.
Together,
their repertoire of Jazz standards and original pieces composed by
Mr. Lantz brought balanced portions of a gentle relaxation to the
gathering along with the enthusiasm for life and all it offers that
the musical form is well known for. The experience of listening to
the concert was like watching the subtle ripples of a rapidly moving
river whose uproarious essence is defined by its quiet babblings. The
inner beauty of each piece was enticed through the musical skills of
the trio which allowed the audience to experience the inner beauty
within themselves more clearly. The concert proved to be a wondeful
way to spend an afternoon. You'll find more photographs taken during
