Art at The Station, Early in the Evening

The Historic Dansbury Depot in East Stroudsburg, PA hosted an Artists’ Reception on Friday November 7th for the Eastburg Community Alliance exhibition titled, “The Outsider Perspective: The Grey Carter Objects of Art” which featured the works within the Grey Carter Collection. A variety of artists and artistic approaches adorned the walls of the new art space to the area which also houses a studio for classes and numerous functions, such as weddings, for the local community. A sizable gathering filled the room as conversations exploring the potentialities a relationship between the business and artistic community could have on the municipality in which the depot is located.

The images embodied in the exhibit ranged from those whose quiet colors whispered their presence to the viewer to those whose vibrant hues and exuberant depictions demanded one’s attention through their deafening visions. Yet, the entirety of the exhibit had a gentle flow about it that pleased the crowd while they shared words flavored by the wine, cheese, and crackers provided by Brian Stone CPA.
